JUMPSTART
Jumpstart is for U14 athletes who want to experience competitive training and get a head start on the summer program to better prepare for competition. The program focuses on endurance and technical paddling as well as off-water training such as running and circuit training. Jumpstart runs five afternoons per week for four weeks prior to the summer program.

Competitive B
Back by popular demand! Last year's pilot Full-Day intermediate training program was such a success, KPC is bringing back B-Team. Eight+ weeks in length, this is an entry-level competitive kayaking class that prepares athletes for Bantam-Peewee Champs in late August in Dartmouth NS. Training consists of kayaking and cross-training exercises such as running, swimming, and circuit training. Athletes have fun learning to work together as a team in K1, K2, K4, and the war canoe. All of the competitive team coaches are certified with competitive coaching courses. Athletes are chosen for this class based on their skill level, personal best times, and commitment to the sport. Competitive A
This team is provided for athletes who are generally working towards Nationals or Atlantic Division
regattas. Training consists of kayaking and cross training exercises such as running, swimming, and circuit training. Competitive team coaching is provided by a certified competitive coach and teams are chosen based on skill level, personal best times, and coaches’ discretion. These teams typically develop great camaraderie and share a fun and memorable competitive sport experience as they work together in K1, K2, K4, and C15, towards major regattas such as National Championships.
